Meet The Doctors



Dr. Benjamin J. Christensen, DMD

Dr. Benjamin J. Christensen grew up in South Ogden, Utah. After completing a 2-year service mission in Hamburg, Germany, he graduated Suma Cum Laude from Utah State University with a Bachelors in Biology. He graduated with honors from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona four years later. During this time in dental school, he remained active in many specialty clubs giving him additional experience in a wider range of procedures.

Following graduation, Dr. Christensen has the honor to work with the United States Air Force, in Shreveport, Louisiana on Barksdale Air Force Base. Following his military service, he moved back to Utah and it now practicing dentistry in the same neighborhood he grew up in. 

He was twice awarded and recognized for his excellence in clinical hand skills, and upon graduation received the "Most Compassionate Student" award due to his efforts to render exceptional dental care to all those he treated.

Dr. Christensen loves to learn and remains dedicated to continuing education. He is an avid literature reader. Through his continued learning he ensures his practice uses the latest and best available materials, techniques, and technologies.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Christensen loves to practice martial arts, tinker with electronics, build musical instruments, or go fishing. Above all other activities, he loves adventuring with his little boy Liam. 


Dr. Zach Martineau

Dr Zachary Martineau grew up in South Ogden near uintah elementary School, and attended South Ogden junior high as well as Bonneville high School. He then Graduated from Weber State University with a bachelor's degree in microbiology and a minor in chemistry. In 2014 he graduated from the same dental school in the same class as Dr Benjamin Christensen from Midwestern University dental School in Phoenix Arizona whereupon graduation he received the much coveted and prestigious endodontic award and became an honorary member of the American endodontic society. He worked with his uncle for the first four and a half years of his dental career at Martineau dentistry in Surprise Arizona. Although he and his family loved Phoenix they knew it was time to come back home to South Ogden to be near family and raise his kids and he is very happy to be here at pleasant valley dental.

In his off time he enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children. He enjoys mountain biking.
